The Yellow Rose of Texas features 23 versions of the iconic song that TRSW uses as its signature.
The Many Radio Voices of Dr. Tim is a tribute to the late German pirate radio operator.
Songs About Texas #2 – The Lost Program is a TRSW music program produced in early 2020 and promptly misplaced. It was just found.
Coronavirus Program Re-Creation was produced in early 2020 but not found in TRSW’s archive. Luckily the playlist was located, so the music’s the same.
Each program has its own distinctive eQSL, available for an accurate, detailed reception report to [email protected].

What is better than starting Christmas morning with a transmission from SAQ Grimeton?
On Christmas morning, Friday December 24th 2021, SAQ Grimeton is scheduled* to be on the air, to send out the traditional Christmas message to the whole world, using the 97 year old 200kW Alexanderson alternator on 17.2 kHz CW.
Program and transmission schedule:
08:00 CET (07:00 UTC: The transmitter hall at World Heritage Grimeton is opened for visitors.
Transmission & YouTube Live stream:
08:25 CET (07:25 UTC): Live stream on YouTube begins.
08:30 CET (07:30 UTC): Startup and tuning of the Alexanderson Alternator SAQ.
09:00 CET (08:00 UTC): Transmission of a message from SAQ.
Test transmissions
We are planning to carry our some test transmissions on December 23rd, approximately between 13:00 CET (12:00 UTC) and 16:00 CET (13:00 UTC). TRSW TO PRODUCE SPECIAL PROGRAM IN DR. TIM’S MEMORY
In January, TRSW will air a special program commemorating the many pirate stations produced by Germany’s Dr. Tim.
Here’s a list of the stations:

Having produced this book for the past 24 years, we are very sorry to announce that WRTH 2022 will be the final edition of World Radio TV Handbook produced and published by WRTH Publications.
This has been an extremely difficult decision and was only made after a lot of thought and discussion.
We know that many people rely on WRTH and greatly enjoy getting the new edition every year.
We realise that this news will be disappointing for many people.

TRSW RELAXES EQSL REQUIREMENTS DURING DECEMBER
Texas Radio Shortwave’s designed some great eQSLs for its holiday programs during December and wants to make it easier for listeners to receive them.
To that end, TRSW will not require that reports contain comments on the programs.
Reports will still need times and titles of songs, times of station IDs and announcements, and an SIO or SINPO rating. They should also include the listener’s receiver and antenna.

Cari amici, Radiocom, la compagnia che garantisce l’emissione dei programmi di Radio Romania International, ha annunciato il malfunzionamento del trasmettitore BD 300-1 di Ţigăneşti (vicino a Bucarest), che trasmette RRI.
Radiocom si sta sforzando per rimediare al malfunzionamento.
Sono interessate frequenze brevi per gli show RRI in rumeno (azimut New York, e il corriere rumeno, trasmesso domenica), inglese (azimut New York, San Francisco, Nairobi, Londra, Tokyo e in Australia), francese (azimut Paris, Africa centrale , Magreb), tedesco (azimut Berlino), spagnolo (azimut Madrid, Buenos Aires), russo (azimut Mosca, Novosibirsk), arabo (azimut magreb e Mashrek) e cinese (azimut Pechino).
D’altra parte, Radiocom ha annunciato di avere un guasto meccanico al trasmettitore di Săftica, BD 100-1, che ha colpito i programmi in italiano, serbo, ucraino e dialetto aromatico.
Il malfunzionamento è stato parzialmente riparato, ma non è possibile trasmettere i programmi con l’azimut a 30 gradi, Kiev, in ucraino.
Radiocom ha assicurato che si sforza per rimediare al guasto del trasmettitore di Saftica.
Vi terremo aggiornati sulla situazione e vi invitiamo a ricevere i programmi RRI sulle frequenze funzionali di Ţigăneşti (BD 300-2), Galbeni (ID 300-1 e ID 300-2), sul sito (incluso il demand), su SoundCloud, su applicazioni tramite TuneIn e via satellite.
